Bernie Taupin
2002
Taupin has developed a bold, layered visual language rooted in Abstract Expressionism, drawing inspiration from painters like Franz Kline, Robert Rauschenberg, and Anselm Kiefer. Over time his work evolved beyond the canvas entirely, incorporating found objects, barbed wire, twine, and blowtorched American flags into sculptural mixed-media constructions that are deliberately provocative and emotionally charged.
